IPP Group’s Chris Daly and Andy Rigby are pictured with two 18” hydrocarbon production manifolds, manufactured for the Maersk Oil Culzean platform. These high pressure & high temperature manifolds (15,000 PSI & 260 Deg C) were designed and manufactured by the IPP Group to comply with both API 6A & ASME B31.3 Ch. IX and are certified to Directive 2014/68/EU.

To ensure that the demanding material requirements were met, industry leading HIP super duplex (A988 UNS S32505) manufacturing processes were utilised for all critical components. Fabrication of the 76mm thick sections was completed by IPP Scomark Engineering using a GTAW process.

To validate the metallurgical, mechanical and corrosion resistance, fully representative production weld testing was performed, in addition to a pre-qualified WPS / PQR.

Following a submerged pickle and passivation process, the manifolds were externally coated in thermally sprayed aluminium (TSA).

The below images show the 3" NB 15,000 PSI high pressure manifolds, manufactured using the same methods, highlighting the companies rigorous packing standards.

These high pressure manifolds form part of a major piping package, supplied by the IPP Group for the Culzean project .
